Belfast City Airport have donated to local charities for some time so we are pleased to hear a decision has been taken to launch a penalty system recommended by The Examination In Public (EIP)For Flights that fly after 9-45pm, with the money going to a chosen charity as well as helping to fund community projects.
The Palmerston Residents Association has said for some time its best to talk with the airport direct and in a more Business like atmosphere than shouting from the rooftops, we have stated in the past that we would work along with George Best Belfast City Airport to enable them to reach an understanding of community fears, we can say that in talking with Brian Ambrose we found that he wanted to help the community.
The Association met with Brian Ambrose and his management staff in August 2008, when we discussed with him many issues and we are very pleased that he listened to everything we discussed with him, we can say that it was not a PR exercise on the airports behalf, we talked about the possibility of imposing fines on aircraft to raise funds for the community, by his decision of launching a community fund clearly shows he cares, listens and spends time to engage with the community
The Residents Association Says Thank You Brian Ambrose And Thank You To Your Management Staff For Putting This Fund In Place To Help Charities And The Local Communities
